Nylock nuts are great for holding things in place. However, they are  
designed to be used once, and only once. Removing them and then using them again  
goes against their designed usage. They lose more than half of their holding  
ability when reused. If you remove a nylock nut, plan on replacing it with a new  
one and you won't have this problem.
