Wally,
Lake Hartwell has been down about two feet all summer, but the past several  
weeks has seen it drop even more. I'm guessing that it's close to be down 
almost  four feet. We joke that this happens this time each year so the big 
houseboats  (70 footers) can get under the two bridges to make it to the Clemson 
football  game. Now I'm almost convinced that it's true.
