Ron,
Quit worrying about the environment so much and worry about your physical  
well being. The Tohatsu 8 weighs 50 pounds. You don't need the electric start.  
My wife can start the 8 Tohatsu. It starts first pull every time. It has CDI  
ignition which means no points to adjust. I change the oil and the spark plugs 
 once a year and that's all the maintenance it's ever needed. 
I've argued this on the list before, but the four strokers just aren't  
dependable...yet. Give them a few years, maybe ten or so, to work the bugs out  of 
them and make them lighter. You don't use your motor enough to be concerned  
about environmental damage.
