Ron, Quit worrying about the environment so much and worry about your physical well being. The Tohatsu 8 weighs 50 pounds. You don't need the electric start. My wife can start the 8 Tohatsu. It starts first pull every time. It has CDI ignition which means no points to adjust. I change the oil and the spark plugs once a year and that's all the maintenance it's ever needed. I've argued this on the list before, but the four strokers just aren't dependable...yet. Give them a few years, maybe ten or so, to work the bugs out of them and make them lighter. You don't use your motor enough to be concerned about environmental damage. RummySee the original archive post
