The current administration would like you to believe that all is going according to plan in Iraq. The truth of the matter is that it isn't. In the past thirty days there have been 2,368 attacks on civilian and military targets. That's a whole lot more than what you see on the evening news. People that supposed to be reporting for duty from guard units are not showing up as ordered. They are being reported AWOL (absent without leave). They are not small numbers either. 40% of all guard members with orders are not showing up. It appears as though the popularity of war is wearing off. It's no wonder the president is trying to get other UN member nations to bail him out of this mess. RummySee the original archive post
