Roger,
I believe there is some misunderstanding as to what Lou wants to ground. If I 
understood his last post, he was talking about grounding the mast, which 
would not be grounded to the same plate as a 12 volt ground.
My understanding is that the battery ground and the lightning grounds should 
never meet.
