Water in the lazzerette can only come from one place and that is the cockpit 
seat drain hoses. I have never heard of anyone getting water into the 
lazzerette from the lazz cover. Replace the hoses and unless you are sailing 
in extreme conditions, a bilge pump in the lazz isn't necessary.
