I believe ice boat sailors invented the gimbaled drink holders. How else  
could they stay out that long. Oshkosh Wisconsin on Lake Winnebago has the ice  
boat hall of fame and is believed to be the birthplace of ice boating. I saw a  
lot them while growing up in that area. Not only are they fast, but the sound 
 that their blades make as they zip across the ice is awesome. I could spend  
hours watching them.
