Bob,
4 x 4 vehicles will cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,500.00 more  
than the two wheel version. I have a 2 wheel drive Dodge Ram 1500 with the V6  
engine and automatic. I've never found a need for four wheel drive and I've  
launched and retrieved many boats in various places. I think a good tire is very  
important. I have the Michelin truck tires which have the M&S rating which  
gives you a better tread for traction. My2 cents worth.
