Why do you want to remove the sails. Both the genoa (assuming you have the  
175) and the IMF main sail have sun shades.
Yes, I have to admit that I am the helmsman on a friends large Hunter (37  
footer) for the race season. My wife is tactician and we are getting better each 
 week.
