Dave,
Contrary to what Ed would have you believe, I am not a racer. I prefer to  
sit back, crank tunes and get really drunk while sailing.
Hartwell is a terrible lake. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting to  
move here from up north. It's dirty (polluted with PCB's) has many shallow areas 
 called shoals and is very crowded on holiday weekends.
I would recommend looking elsewhere.
