The rear stay tensioner does indeed disappear over the stern. There are  
cleats mounted on each side to tie the tensioner off to.
The speakers are marine grade Maxim marine (Pioneer) speakers that  have been 
in the boat for about five years. They are rated at 250 watts and have  never 
given me any problems. WM used to carry them, but I haven't seen them in  
their catalogue in a while. You can find them from other marine electronics  
dealers.
