Welcome. The Tohatsu is such a good motor I doubt that you will EVER need  
service. The Mercury 9.9 is made by Tohatsu in China. They are the same  
identical engine.
Get the front ports sealed and don't worry about drainage, it's not a big  
problem and the ventilation makes it all worthwhile.
