Rummy takes the boom off. It's a simple thing to do, except for re threading the outhaul lines, and I don't want to take the chance of having it come loose and swinging around. I do enough stupid things without trying to do something that will save a few minutes. Also, I lower my mast to the bow, using the six pack method. I suppose I would leave it in place if I had the mast crane from GB. Now it's off to the boat. Winds are out of the east north east at 10 with gusts to 18 and nothing showing up on the radar.....sounds like a great afternoon of extreme sailing. I hope all of you poor working people are sitting in your office's in total awe and envy. I will be thinking of you as I'm sailing and drinking. RummySee the original archive post
