Kathy,
Thanks for your post. I'm glad you have found the Rhodes family and enjoy  
our sailing discussions. You have to understand that this list is here because  
of the owners, not a product of General Boats and it is run in a manner in 
which  we see fit. We have a charter which spells out which content is 
appropriate and  we do discuss everything from politics to religion with a little 
sailing thrown  in for good measure.
Many of us have been list members for many years and actually know each  
other personally. We have chatted about the R22 for so many years that the same  
questions become quite boring after a while. (Not to be misunderstood that we  
don't want to answer questions and offer help)
I hope that our political side of the discussions doesn't turn you away  from 
a great boat or this great community, but many of us have learned how to  use 
the delete key when we see posts with political subject lines.
