Not fact, just opinion. I believe the R22 is less likely to take a lightning 
hit than a boat where the mast goes thru the deck and rests on top of the 
heavy leaded keel. We just aren't the best ground around. Also, fresh water 
makes a terrible electrical conductor as opposed to salt water. (Now that's 
scientific fact).
