Brad, I thought lead was originally added to gasoline to act as a lubricant for valve seats. Now your adding MMO to unleaded gas to remove the lead. So where do the valve seats get their lubrication? I've been using Mobile One for almost twenty years in all of our vehicles. I've never had an internal engine failure and always put a lot of miles on our vehicles. We retired a Pontiac Grand Prix a few years ago that 315,000 miles on it and it didn't burn any oil. You pay more for the oil up front, but the peace of mind I get from using it is well worth the price. I put a lot of miles on my truck and sometimes I can't get the oil changed on time. I usually try to change it at 3,000 miles, but have gone as far as 8,000 on several occasions. I know, everything that has the word airplane or avionics attached to it costs more. Just like buying marine items. RummySee the original archive post
