Elle,
Our house in SC is nestled in the woods and if I see a blade of grass I rip  
it out down to its roots. Nothing but plants and mulch. Even the leaves get  
mulched in our chipper shredder. Sometimes I think the plants are more work 
than  grass would be. This is a picture taken a couple of years ago during spring 
 flowers.
