Brad,
A generator would be nice. I've talked about getting one for years, but the 
storms are so spread out that it really doesn't ever get to the top of my 
want list. I do have a voltage converter that will run about 300 watts that I 
can plug into one of the vehicles. About all that would run would be the TV, 
but that sure would make the neighbors jealous.
