Guys,
Golf carts use 6 volt batteries because when multiplied, they have the  
correct voltage for the motors the carts use: 36 or 48 volts. Banks of either 6  -6 
volt or 8- 6 volt batteries. The 6 volt batteries in these configurations  
store more juice and last longer. They are very expensive to replace.
