People,
You are over thinking the problem you are experiencing with the furling  jib. 
The problem is caused by you, the operator. You must keep tension on BOTH  
lines whether furling or letting the sail out. Keeping tension on both lines  
keeps the line in the furling drum, per design. Use both hands next time.
