Monday morning I decided that there wasn't enough work in my schedule so I took the day off and extended my weekend. I met my buddy Rodger at Rum Runner around 11:30 and spent the day sailing until dusk. We had great winds right around 10 mph and temps in the low 80's. Rodger brought an unexpected package with him, a spinnaker which we raised and flew. Unfortunately, the extra halliard line had gone unused for to many years and broke after a short sail. But it was still fun to fly the spinnaker, a first on Rum Runner but certainly not the last. Of course massive quantities of rum were consumed and the rail was in the water most of the day and a good time was had by all.
