Brad,
If I was going to heat a hanger, I would go with the kerosene. Five gallons  
goes a long ways and you can buy a small hand held battery powered pump to  
transfer fuel without any spilling. I use a Kerosun heater when the power goes  
out. I generally have 25 gallons on hand at all times. The torpedo heater will 
 use more than a space heater, but it will also heat your entire building and 
 contents faster.
