Slim, As a youth, our family rented a house boat and spent two weeks on the river. Back then we swam in it to our hearts content. Now I find out that there are actually salt water sharks in the river. Yikes! Ignorance is bliss. It was a great trip with many towns and places to tie up at and explore. One of the best vacations of my life. Go for it. Rummy In a message dated 5/10/2008 7:43:38 P.M. Do you think this would be doable on an R22? There's lots of towns along the way to stop and visit and you could beach almost anywhere. It's a commercial waterway and so it's main channel is maintained at a 12 foot minimum. We'd go down but not back up. We'd have to arrange someone to meet us with a trailer somewhere downstream. One downside is that I wouldn't really want to swim in it. Any thoughts anyone? Huckleberry SlimSee the original archive post
