Andrew,
Although the tension gauge is nice, don't waste your money because their
manual has nothing in it about tensioning the stays on a R22. Each owner has
their own method of tuning their rigging and I know the archives have a lot of
good stuff on it. I don't know of any factory settings for the R22.

The 2nd hatch installed over the head causes a .25" dip at the port to
strboard centerline of the hatches
It goes away when I lower the mast. Said hatch went in In 03 when the
boat was recycled, it is an 86. The ex comp post is slightly aft and
to stbrd of the mast step. The shrouds were never overly tight on my
watch and I release the backstay tension when moored. I think I will
get a Loo's tension gauge this year and set the tension per the
manual. In any case I think one more season of monitoring is in order

And welcome back!
