Greg, Well, you found a great place to get advice. As you proceed with your project, don't hesitate to ask questions and remember, a picture is worth a thousand words. Pictures will make it a lot easier to help you. Many of the parts on the R22 are specific to this hull. Those parts are available (for the most part) from the manufacturer, General Boats. Her hull is sound and I have the mast and boom, but she needs a lot of cosmetic attention. She needs painting and everything from anchor to new rigging. I have the sails to get me started but will need to upgrade quickly. Beginner sailor so open to any and all advise. I use to build furniture and surfboards and I also restored two houses so I have some experience at restorations. I will be sailing near Northeast MD.
