Way to go. I've found winter sailing to be my favorite time on the water.  
It's surprising how warm the cockpit can actually be when the sun is shining. I  
would usually start out early with full winter gear and by mid afternoon be 
down  to a t shirt. 
One suggestion, beer in cold weather just isn't right, try switching to  rum.
