Rob, Yes, we are getting some rain. Not any gully washers, but enough to help the lake condition. The lake is now only down ten feet from full pool. The highest we saw last year was down eight feet. The rain gauge at the house has about half an inch in it. The forecast says rain off and on through Sunday morning. I guess I'll be working in the garage replacing the bunk covers on my Rhodes trailer this Saturday. At least the grass is starting to green up. I've been wanting to try my new pneumatic stapler for a while now. Rummy In a message dated 3/26/2009 11:56:50 A.M. Rob, Thanks for asking. We received about an inch and a half of rain last weekend. No complaints here, but the lake is still down eleven feet. The USACE has closed the gates so no water has flowed downstream in two weeks. It's going to be a hot dry summer unless we get a lot more rain. My dock is now usable and Tuesday I placed our Chaparral on the float at the dock and cruising the lake is once more possible. Normally an inch of rain equates to a foot in rise on the lake, but the ground is so dry most of it is being absorbed and running off into the lakes and streams.
