Rob,
You are good to go any direction you want. For me, I was trying to use the
uphill battle as a reason to purchase a four wheeler. It didn't work.

My tractor is 4wd. But like you, most of my work is done going

Rob,

My John Deere X500 has a 16 horse engine (Yamaha air cooled) which has
enough horses, but the tires are small. Even with the differential
locked in I
can't go up hill and I'm not talking much of a grade either. The grader
works as advertised, but I can only go downhill. A four wheeler will
also do
the job if you happen to have one of those.

Rummy,
Yeah, 220 feet is a challenge. I've got a small 16hp Yanmar tractor
that should be able to handle it. It's bigger than my riding mower but
still not big enough for any serious land disturbance. I rented a 60hp
tractor from a buddy of mine and regarded and dug out ditchlines a
couple of weeks ago. The powergrader might be what I need to maintain
it now. - rob
