There is a company in Hartwell, Georgia that does nothing but buy and  
refurbish old wooden boats. They do wonderful work.

Rummy,
A  buddy of mine is renting a lake house that is owned by some rich doctor 
who  has a hobby collecting Chris Craft boats.  He's got maybe 6 of them, 
one  probably a 40 footer.  They are all under roof, but all of them have gone 
 to hell.  What a shame.

Well, since the list has been quiet I thought I'd throw this at  the group. 
 
I went with some friends Tuesday to look at a 1950's  vintage all wood 
sailboat  that someone was willing to give away. All  we knew is that it 
was 35 
feet long  and needing restoration.  Unfortunately, the hull is beyond 
restoring and should  probably be  stripped of any and all hardware and 
burned. It's 
always sad to see   a boat deteriorate from neglect like this one has. I 
expressed interest in  the  wooden mast if it is ever found.
