It just occurred to me that I could run this by you.  I  have the 
opportunity
to get a 1977 Rhodes 22 for $2000.  Here is what  I know (I have net yet 
seen
the boat as it is ~8 hours away):

Owner  has known the boat since 1980, and owned it himself for 10 years
Owner has  not used it for the last 5 years (bought a bigger boat)
-  Stored inside until last fall when it was stored outside,  shrinkwrapped
Sail Inventory (all unknown age/condition): 2 mains and a  Genoa
Standing rigging replaced 7 years ago
Owner lists condition as  "very good", still trying to assess what that
means.
No blisters or  stress fractures
No leaks
1977 7.5 HP Honda 4 stroke engine (low  hours)
1977 Original trailer, used 2x per year to put in and take out for  the
season

Issues that I know about:
Roller furler was bent, and  the tube replaced, and now somehow the Genoa is
not the right size and  needs to be altered (still working out what this
is...I am sure my  ignorance is preventing true understanding)

Target audience: the Larson  family, 2 adults, 4 kids with a Ford Windstar
tow vehicle and a short  commute to the lake.

I definately like the esign of the boat on paper,  but that happened with
another boat, and then when I saw the real deal I  did not like it very 
much.

What would you say about this  situation?
a) Its a steal of a deal, don't let it go
b) Its about what I  would expect to pay for a Rhodes of this age/condition
c) I'd offer  less
d) Don't touch it with a 10' pole
