We were amongst a very international group of people for the Discovery

It actually took the rumble quite a while to reach us. It was strange  
because you could hear it coming across the water as it approached us. I hope  
that made sense. The entire flight that was visible to us lasts about twenty 
or  thirty seconds. Once the solid rocket boosters left the shuttle, we lost 
sight  of it in the clouds.

canyon is big, but there is just no way to describe or comprehend  the
enormity until you see it in person.  I imagine the shuttle launch  is a
