Cary,
This site is maintained so we can help people just like you. Besides, we
might even learn something ourselves in the process.

UPDATE!!!
I sponged the bilge area and fanned it dry. Water seemed to be seeping from
around the heavy nylon piece that supports the mast.
I checked the V berth section and it was dry. Across from the head and
under the seat there is an access area. I stuck my hand in back toward the
center and sure enough there was a puddle of water. Turned out to be about
a gallon. I removed this water, so now I start anew.
The water tank is empty... not a source of contention and the area was dry.
So now I know that the previous owner who blamed the leaky water tank
hoses' was misinformed. What ever it is must be an OLD problem and was
the
source of the rotted floor section in the head.
ONE, what is in this area that could cause a slow leak? TWO, the hose from
the bilge pump goes toward the stern. I have not been able to follow it
yet, but it does NOT connect to the drain in the sink area. I have found no
moist areas anywhere in the cabin area or cockpit area.
Now it obvious that there two problems to address. water entry and where
does the bilge pump too.
Sorry guys, I know I'm a novice with limited knowledge about boats but I
will work to correct the problems with your help and experience.
Thanks!
Cary
