This had nothing to do with freeze thaw cycles or even moisture. We've been 
 in a draught for years. This is simply product failure. The exact cause 
isn't  know at this time. Stay tuned.

then water  gets in and starts freeze thaw destruction.  Down below that 
shouldnt  happen.  I have read that you can even "glaze" the surface with a 
torch  and renew the water shedding ability.
