I spoke with Slimmeister this afternoon and he forwarded his photo's of the 
 chain plate repair he had done when he hit an overhead wire with his boat 
on the  trailer. He actually ripped the chain plate loose and the mast came 
down and  damaged the rear railing. The attached photo's show one method of 
doing the  repair.
