I moor my R22 in shallow water. When the tide is extra low, the keel sits on the bottom. Sometimes a small stone will wedge between the trunk and the CB blade and jamb the blade in its trunk. I can free it sometimes by pulling up and releasing the CB control line. I also have a 3/16 metal rod I push down the control line tube and push on the top of the blade. Last resort is a swim under the boat. I have had to use a screw driver to scrape the stone out but usually a downward tug on the back of the blade will free it. Be careful because it will swing down quickly and it’s heavy. Always have a helper. Good luck. Ric sv Dadventure. HBNY Sent from my iPhoneSee the original archive post
