Thanks, Ken, Peter and William! Not a dumb question at all, Peter - I think you might be on to the issue. I'll check it out when we're next at the boat, but from looking at the photos you all sent, I think that we have the ends reversed - it looks like the side that is now stuck in the IMF slot should be the end that leads back to the boom, and it should be the other side of the line that runs down the mast to the fairlead and jam cleat on the cabin roof. We had that part done correctly, just perhaps with the wrong end of the line! We'll play around with that and see if it fixes it!
