My R22 was built in '88, and I have a 2 axle Triad trailer, so I may be at the heavier end of the spectrum.  My '07 Tacoma has the factory towing package, and is rated for 6,500 lbs. I get where I'm going, but there are times that more power would be nice.

I personally don't think 3,500 is going to cut it, unless you're only going a couple of miles over level ground.

Let's see what the rest of hive-mind thinks.
