Larry,

Does your galley table have sockets on the bottom that fit your rods?  My table is supported on each end by shelves that protrude from the companionway step and the folding step in the head compartment.  The table is unsupported over its length between these 2 shelves.  I’ve never had an issue with overloading.  But, I suppose a heavy weight previous owner might have installed the posts to support the load.  I don’t think this is factory standard.
